Research question

What should the lyophilised material look like?

Lyophilised means the peptide was dried from a frozen solution so it sits in the vial as a solid cake or powder. GetReta’s description of a normal unopened cake is white to off-white. A small amount of solid stuck to the wall can be normal for a dried peptide. You do not need to shake the vial to “check it” and you should not loosen the cap to look.

The certificate’s appearance line, when present, refers to that solid at test. It does not describe a solution. If you add a solvent later, cloudiness, colour or foam are observations for your SOP to interpret. GetReta will not diagnose a mixture it did not make.

If the unopened vial arrives cracked, empty, or with a label you cannot read, photograph it and email orders@getreta.co.uk with the order reference. Leave the seal as it is. Research use only.
