Research question
How should a lyophilised retatrutide vial be stored?
GetReta ships retatrutide as a dry lyophilised cake in a sealed research vial. Until the seal is opened, store it refrigerated at 2 to 8 °C and protect it from light. Do not leave the carton on a warm bench, in a window or in a freezer unless your own SOP expressly says that this lot may be frozen as a solid. The label and the certificate describe the solid that left the pack, not a solution you make later.
Keep the vial upright in the original carton so the lot sticker and the paper certificate stay together. If you move the vial into a laboratory fridge box, copy the lot code onto the box. A separated certificate is how lots get mismatched. Plain outer packaging is for the postal journey. It is not a long-term storage container.
Once a solvent has been added, the material is no longer the product GetReta tested. Follow the laboratory SOP for that solution, including whether it may be frozen. GetReta does not publish a hold time for a reconstituted vial and does not give volumes. Research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
